Factoids: How was the track created? How was the sound achieved?

In this piece, my initial approach was to extensively listen around to both library and famous festive music on the subject of fantasy orchestral pieces, in order to find such a middle ground where by I could ensure that my music stands out from pieces already in the network but at the same time fits within the boundaries of a library pack.

I listened to such references as Alan Silvestri's famous Polar Express score and James Seymour Brett's popular Audio Network library that had caught my ear on various daytime TV adverts, coming to the obvious conclusion on instrumentation that works well: Full Orchestra, fast cheerful melody, emphasis on whistled flute line, sleigh bells, mallets, swells and gliss, triumphant horns section, arpeggiated harp and pizzicato bass strings helping to keep rhythm and metre, staccato strings rising and falling throughout.

The track was created in Logic Pro X with the aid of East West Hollywood Orchestra Gold, Alchemy Synths and Logic Library samples.

The Rush (Extreme Sports Music)

World Wars (Military/War Music)

Orchestral  - For Our Fathers

Pack Description: Majestic orchestral piece with heroic brass, piano, bell chimes, marching snare and soaring strings.

Factoids: How was the track created? How was the sound achieved?

In this piece, for first influence my assumption was to look into older world war TV Documentaries on places like the BBC, Channel 5 and the History channels, keeping a keen ear to the ground for what music they use behind their scenes on the big stage of media entertainment. I also took the opportunity to research into my favourite composer the late Michael Kamen's score for War epic series Band of Brothers and feel I have taken great influence from this by using the heroic brass sections, marching snare, rolling
timpani, emotive strings, pulsating staccato strings, fluttering woodwind with a bounding feel in the underlying rhythm of the composition.

The track was created in Logic Pro X with the aid of East West Hollywood Orchestra Gold, Alchemy Synths and Logic Library samples.
